All-in-One Medical Check-Up in Denpasar, Bali

All-in-One Medical
Check-Up in Denpasar, Bali

An all-in-one medical check-up in Denpasar means a
single-morning full-body screening that combines a doctor consultation,
a full panel of blood tests, imaging and cardiac testing at one
accredited facility — most conveniently in the adjoining Sanur health
zone, just minutes east of central Denpasar.
As Bali’s capital
and largest city, Denpasar sits at the heart of the island’s medical
infrastructure, so a comprehensive medical check-up (MCU) here is both
close to home for residents and easy to reach for visitors staying
elsewhere in the south.

This guide explains how an all-in-one check-up works in and around
Denpasar, why the neighbouring Sanur zone is the natural home for
comprehensive screening, and how to arrange the whole thing end to end.
As the medical advisor for Bali Medical Checkup, I
coordinate screenings for both Denpasar residents and travellers who
base themselves in the city.

Who this is for

If you are a Denpasar resident, an expat living in the city, a
business traveller, or a visitor staying centrally who wants a
preventive screening without a long drive, this is written for you. A
full-body MCU is a screening tool, not a diagnosis —
its role is to catch early signals in your blood sugar, cholesterol,
organ function or an imaging finding so that you and your own doctor can
act early. For the full scope of a comprehensive screening, see our
pillar page on the full-body
medical check-up in Bali
.

Why Denpasar is
central to Bali screening

Denpasar concentrates much of Bali’s medical capacity — the
accredited laboratories, imaging suites, cardiac equipment and
specialist physicians that a full-body MCU depends on. Just to the east,
the Sanur area has been developed as Indonesia’s first health special
economic zone (KEK Sanur), anchored by Bali International Hospital,
inaugurated in June 2025. For screening purposes, Denpasar and Sanur
function as one connected zone: central Denpasar to Sanur is a short 15
to 25 minute drive. Our Sanur health
zone page
explains the area and how comprehensive screening there
works.

What “all-in-one” actually
means

An all-in-one MCU is designed so that every part of the screening
happens in one visit, in a logical sequence, rather than being scattered
across separate appointments. A typical single-morning flow is:

  • Doctor-led history and physical exam to set the day
    up around your risk profile.
  • Fasting blood tests drawn first: complete blood
count, fasting glucose and HbA1c, a full lipid profile, and liver,
    kidney and thyroid function.
  • Urinalysis.
  • Imaging and cardiac tests: abdominal ultrasound,
chest X-ray and a resting ECG.
  • Closing consultation where a physician explains
    what your results mean.

Higher tiers add cardiac imaging, tumour markers and specialist
reviews. For a component-by-component breakdown of everything above, see
what’s included in a
full-body check-up

Why residents screen in
Denpasar

For expats and locals living in the city, an annual all-in-one
check-up close to home is one of the simplest ways to stay ahead of
preventable problems. There is no travel, English-speaking doctors are
available, and reports can be prepared so your home-country GP or
insurer can use them. Our expats and tourists
pillar page
covers residents and long-stayers, and our blog on sharing your
results with your GP back home
explains keeping your record in sync
across borders.

Fasting and logistics

Most comprehensive screenings ask for 8 to 12 hours of fasting,
mainly for accurate glucose and lipid results, so the standard advice is
to finish dinner the night before and arrive on water only. Bring your
current medications and a list of what you take — most are continued as
normal, but timing around fasting bloods should be confirmed with the
provider in advance. If you are travelling in from elsewhere in the
south, we arrange door-to-door transport as part of the
concierge service. Our preparation
guide
explains fasting, medications and what to bring.

Getting your results

Basic blood work and imaging are often summarised the same day or the
next, while more specialised tests can take a few days, and digital
copies are typically emailed. That flexibility suits both residents, who
can collect a printed report later, and visitors, who may receive the
full report after leaving. Our blog on how long
health screening results take
gives realistic timelines.

Questions Denpasar
patients commonly ask

“Is Denpasar or Sanur better for a full check-up?”
For comprehensive screening they work as one zone. Central Denpasar
concentrates medical capacity, and the accredited facilities in the
adjoining Sanur health zone are only a short drive east. The concierge
matches you to the right facility for your package.

“Can everything really be done in one morning?” Yes
— that is the point of an all-in-one MCU. With fasting done and a
package chosen in advance, the bloods, imaging, cardiac tests and doctor
consult are sequenced to finish in a single visit.

“What if something is found?” A screen that flags a
concern is doing its job. The finding goes to a doctor, who decides
whether further assessment is needed. Nothing here is a diagnosis, and
we do not provide treatment — but a clear, accredited report puts you in
the strongest position to act with your own physician.
